Welcome to NSW KM Forum for 2007
5 February, 2007
Dear Forum members,
Welcome to the NSW KM Forum in 2007!
The forum committee held a planning meeting a few weeks ago to discuss our plans for 2007. One significant development is a change to the committee membership. After much hard work during 2006 to make the forum successful, James Digges and Matt Moore are stepping down from active committee duty. However a number of new
committee members have joined us:
- John Dumay – Deputy Chair
- Brad Hinton – Secretary
- Patrick Burkhalter and Sue Webster – Speaker Co-ordinators
- Sai Lakkaraju – Member Co-ordinator
Continuing committee members include Denise Quay, Inderjeet Singh and myself. I am also replacing James Digges in the chair role. As a result of the changes to the committee we are also investigating new venues, both in Sydney CBD and in the Ryde area.
Right now the committee volunteers are already working hard at coming up with another interesting and diverse range of speakers. Details of our first meeting will be coming soon. In the meantime we do need your help:
- Please let us know if you know someone (it could be you!) who has
an interesting KM story to tell - We will be fund raising this year in order to pay for some small overheads, such as our domain name registration
- Tell us about other KM and related events taking place around NSW so we can help promote them to other members
We are also phasing out the current forum Website and setting up a new NSW KM Forum blog – the direct URL for the blog here is http://nswkmforum.wordpress.com/, however we eventually hope to redirect our existing domain name (http://www.nsw-km-forum.org.au/) to the blog.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all outgoing committee and advisory group members for their support in 2006, and of course wish our new committee members all the best for the new year.
If you have any comments, suggestions or feedback please feel free to contact any of the committee members direct or via our email address: nswkmforum<at>gmail.com
Best Regards,
James Dellow
