Ross Dawson – Implementing Enterprise 2.0 in the Real World
Enterprise 2.0 combines two concepts. It is usually understood to be how web 2.0 technologies such as wikis, blogs, social networks and RSS are being applied inside organisations. However it is also about how enterprises are shifting their organisational structure and activities to be effective and competitive in a rapidly changing business environment. Because it is as least as much about culture change as technology, many organisations struggle with Enterprise 2.0 initiatives, held back by cautious executives, sceptical users, vested interests and lack of enthusiasm. Ross Dawson will examine the realities of implementing Enterprise 2.0, including the possibilities, the challenges, and the key activities that will drive organisational change and successful adoption.
