Welcome to 2013 from the NSW KM Forum committee

10 January, 2013

2012 was a significant year for Knowledge Management in all sorts of ways, with its shiny new technologies, social media, and some innovative new ways of managing knowledge.

Our monthly sessions in 2012 were lively and covered a wide array of topics and speakers. With plenty of professional networking along the way.

2013 promises to be no less of a wild and fun ride.

As well as welcome you to the new year, we would like to draw your attention to a couple of significant events on the early 2013 KM calendar.

2. The first NSW KM Forum monthly meeting for 2013
——————————————————————–
We will be kicking off the year with a knowledge café session titled “The Three Eras of KM”.

When: 26 February at the usual starting time of 5.30 pm
Where: Royal Exhibition Hotel, Surry Hills (close to Central Station)

The topic of this knowledge cafe was inspired by an article by Nancy Dixon, which can be found here: http://www.nancydixonblog.com/2010/08/the-three-eras-of-knowledge-management-summary.html

The discussion will revolve around the validity of Nancy’s three eras and how they might relate to our own experience.

You will receive a follow-up email with more information and a link to register for this event (so we can manage numbers) closer to the date. But please put a place-holder in your diary for the moment.

That’s it for now. Hope your new KM year has started well, or perhaps you’re still enjoying a well-earned break. We’re all looking forward to a memorable 2013 in the world of KM.
