Topic: “The future of Intellectual Capital? A world tour. “
Presenter: Dr. John Dumay
In his own words:
“I have just completed a round the world tour investigating The Future of IC as part of my study leave from the University of Sydney. During that time I interviewed leading international IC scholars and practitioners about their involvement with IC and how they viewed the future of IC.
This presentation brings to you the highlights of my tour and outlines some prospects and challenges for implementing IC for the future.”
A better understanding of Human/Intellectual Capital has often been talked about as playing a key role in effective knowledge management. John’s observations will provide us with plenty to think and talk about in terms of Knowledge Management in modern day organisations.
Topic: “Business focus; Where KM needs to be”
Presenter: Cory Banks
We will also be joined by Brisbanite and long term friend of the NSW KM Forum, Cory Banks. Cory will offer his own unique insights on the importance on having a business focus on what we design and deliver. In the current times of cost reductions, tighter budgets, outsourcing and proving return on investment, it is very important to always come at things from a business value perspective.
Cory will share his experiences in helping deliver business value through leveraging knowledge and information.
