********************************************************************

The evolution of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies has pushed them further and further into mainstream adoption. Companies like the Playstation, HTC Vive, Facebook’s Oculus Rift have all received huge interest in their gaming-orientated systems. Meanwhile, enterprise solutions like Microsoft’s Hololens and Google Glass continue to receive less attention outside of IT circles. While much of the media’s attention has focused on gamers, what are the opportunities for knowledge management?

In this session, the NSW KM Forum will explore “Knowledge Reality” – how virtual reality and augmented reality technologies could be applied to use cases the require the transfer of hard to share experiential knowledge or that support decision-making, such as:

• Data visualisation

• Learning and development

• Design

This meetup will assemble a group of virtual and augmented reality specialists who will bring different perspectives that demonstrate the knowledge management opportunities for these technologies.
